Ian Yemm is an english lyric tenor currently living in the Bristol area. Until July 2009 he was singing full time with the internationally renowned chorus of the Welsh National Opera in their new home, the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff and has continued to work for WNO in recent productions of Richard Wagner's 'Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg' and in Ludwig van Beethoven's 'Fidelio'. In addition, he maintains a freelance career as a soloist in Opera, Oratorio and Recital both in the UK and in Europe. He enjoys teaching singing and giving masterclasses as well as on-going academic research and writing in the areas of Music and Theology. Alongside his private singing students he was recently appointed to teach the Lay Clerks and Choral Scholars at Bristol Cathedral.
