Ian studied at the Roehampton Institute in London graduating from the University of Surrey with a degree in Music with Theological and Religious Studies. From here he was accepted for postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music with Joy Mammen and at the Opera School of the Royal College of Music with Noelle Barker OBE receiving a Diploma in Voice and Opera with Distinction and a Licentiate as a Voice Teacher. Additionally, he did further studies in Theology at St John's Seminary, Wonersh and Blackfriars Hall, Oxford and was recruited onto the fast track programme for prospective education leaders at Bath Spa University. He has also done some training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a view to preparing for higher academic research at some point in the future. He is currently engaged in part time study for a Masters degree in Christian Spirituality at Sarum College in Salisbury. |
